Bien peu d'iris peuvent se vanter d'être heureux à l'ombre mais ce petit bijou est bien plus beau lorsqu'il ne reçoit que le soleil du matin ou de fin d'après-midi.  Il pousse en talles bien rondes et fleurit abondamment lorsque bien établi. 15cm   mai-juin

There are few woodland irises but this little plant prefers to be in the shelter of tress than in full sunshine. It is very short, one could almost call it a ground cover iris, rising to no more than 8-10 cm. It grows in a circular manner (much like other irises) and does not creep away too fast. It makes a good edge plant for the woodland but we think it's nicest as a pet in a pot.  10 cm   May
