Primula vulgaris - hardy form

La primevère anglaise est à la limite de sa rusticité ici et nous sommes très contents d'avoir trouvé un clone robuste dans le jardin d'une cliente. Il s'agit sans doute d'un hybride mais il ressemble beaucoup à l'espèce, en plus vigoureux.  Préfère l'humidité constante, mais peut prendre une sécheresse passagère mieux que la plupart des autres primulas une fois établie.  20 cm  avril-mai


Primroses is borderline hardy here, and we are thrilled to have found this very tough form of P. vulgaris in a client's garden.   It is probably a hybrid but it does look very like a strong form of the wild plant.  Prefers constant moisture, but will take a temporary drought better than most other primulas once established.  20cm  April-May
