Salvia glutinosa

Une sauge aux grandes fleurs jaune pâle mouchetées de pourpre et au feuillage collant (glutineux!) hasté.  Vigoureux et bien que pas tape-à-l'oeil, très beau à la bonne place.  Longue floraison.   75cm  juillet-sept


Sticky sage is an underused plant, perhaps only because it is a rather subdued plant in a family of garish plants. But we like it, and think you will too, especially if you have a difficult dry spot that needs livening.  Its large abundant flowers are pale yellow, mottled with purple and show up best against a dark background, so ideal next to a cedar that takes up all the ground moisture.   Interesting hastate sticky foliage too. 75cm  July-Aug
