Tovara virginiana 'Painter's Palette'

Plante au feuillage surprenant panaché avec un chevron bourgogne en son centre.  On pourrait penser que ce serait laid, mais pas du tout, c'est très efficace.  Dans la région de Montréal et plus au sud elle réussi à fleurir de longues queues rouges très minces en fin de saison, mais ici elle n'a jamais le temps. Peu importe, son attrait principal reste son feuillage.  50 cm  oct-nov


A surprisingly variegated foliage plant with a combination of cream mottling and a burgundy chevron that one would think ugly, but it's not at all and quite interesting instead.  It will send out thin spikes of red flowers in late autumn but in our short season it doesn't have the time to do it.  It doesn't bother us though, it's main attraction is its foliage. 50 cm  Oct-Nov
